SUE-D-BASTARD: A POSITIVE DISAPPOINTEMENT. - Students' Union

From the 1st of December when our tenure kicked-off, several tongues
went rolling on how the new set of executives were going to put up a
lackluster attitude, perform woefully and leave office in shame.
Immediately, faceless and known individuals swung into action trying
to put up an opposite position to every action of the leadership of
the Union.

It was expected, it's the norm but then positive decisions which
should be applauded have come under series of attacks from these
persons.
However, like a brave warrior who challenges every opponent no matter
how tough he looks, the leadership of the union led by ODUNYEMI
ADEGBOLA has marched on winning all the major 'wars'.

All negative predictions of how your's truly will develop relationship
issues with Mr. President has become as useless as prophecies from a
fake prophet. While other statements of how our team will crumble when
money becomes an issues is gradually fading too.
Yes, we are a 'disappointment' to these set of people. We've
'disappointed' them by gradually maturing into our various positions
fulfilling our roles and continually dishing out to AAUAites the
different manifestoes promised at manifesto ground. We've
'disappointed' them by agitating and getting longer extension of
portal, getting Shops A and B from the management and putting them
under the union's control, by addressing the world in an interview on
Orange 94.5 fm few weeks ago and the calling of the CONGRESS (which
AAUAites haven't experienced in two sessions) alongside several other
details.

These personalities should be rest assured that several other
'disappointments' are on the way as this is only a tip of the iceberg.
We are however calling on all and sundry to collaborate with the
leadership of the union as we intend to positively affect the lives of
our students in all our policy formulations, actions and decisions.

Indeed, THE FUTURE IS NOW and surely we will FLOURISH.
Ogbeni Segun Odunayo is a Part IV Political Science Student of AAUA,
he equally doubles as the General Secretary of the Students' Union
